Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. sour cream or sour milk
1 scant level tsp. soda
pinch of salt
flour
1 pt. or more of gooseberries
Preparation

Mix all ingredients except gooseberries.
Add enough flour to make batter stiffer than cake dough, add gooseberries. Put in greased 8 by 8 in. pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 until done and golden brown. Serve warm with cream and sugar or whipped topping.
