Peach Parfait Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) pie shell
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange jello
    1 pt. vanilla ice cream
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 1/2 c. sliced fresh peaches
    whipped cream
Preparation
    Prepare 9-inch pie shell.
    Heat 1 1/4 cups water to boiling. Remove from heat.
    Add one 3 ounce package of orange jello.
    Stir until dissolved.
    Add 1 pint of vanilla ice cream, cut into pieces to hot liquid.
    Stir immediately until melted.
    Blend in 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
    Chill until mixture is thickened, but not set, 25 to 35 minutes.
    Fold in 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh peaches. Turn into cooled, baked pie shell.
    Chill until firm, 25 to 30 minutes.
    Top with whipped cream.
