Quiche Alsacienne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bacon
    2 c. milk or cream
    4 eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. white pepper
    nutmeg
    1/4 c. sauteed onions
    1/2 c. diced Swiss cheese
    1 (9-inch) pie shell
Preparation
    Brush pie shell with white of an egg and poke with fork.
    Fry bacon, stirring constantly until fat almost all rendered out, but bacon isn't crisp.
    Drain off fat.
    Scald milk or cream; cool slightly.
    Beat milk (or cream) with 4 eggs, salt, white pepper and sprinkle of nutmeg.
    Sprinkle bottom of pie shell with bacon and sauteed onions.
    Pour egg mixture on top.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 375\u00b0 or until top is golden brown.
