"Jewish Penicillin" - Chicken Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken, sliced and quartered
    3 carrots, sliced or diced
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 stalks celery, sliced
    1 parsnip, cut up
    1 small bunch dill weed or 2 Tbsp. dried dill
    salt and pepper
    thin egg noodles
Preparation
    In a large pot, place chicken.
    Cover with water.
    Add vegetables and seasonings. Cook until chicken is very tender and falls away from bones, 1 1/4 hours.
