Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    4 pineapple slices, drained
    6 maraschino cherries, cut in fourths
    1 1/2 c. sifted enriched flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. minus 1 Tbsp. pineapple syrup
    1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
    1 egg
Preparation
    Melt butter in 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Stir in brown sugar. Halve pineapple slices.
    Place in mixture.
    Center with 3 cherry pieces.
