Sweetheart Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pineapple, undrained
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. plain gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    6 oz. cream cheese
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. cherry juice
    12 chopped cherries
    1 c. whipping cream
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in cold water; set aside.
    Add pineapple to sugar; bring to boiling point.
    Add gelatin; stir until gelatin dissolves.
    Add lemon and cherry juices to mixture.
    Cool.
    Mash cream cheese; add chopped cherries to cheese.
    Put cream cheese mixture in the gelatin mixture, a little at a time.
    Add red food coloring. Chill until slightly thick.
    Add whipped cream.
    Put in mold overnight.
    Makes 1 quart.
