Buttermilk Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
    1 large (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    8 oz. container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix pineapple (juice and all) with dry Jell-O in a saucepan. Cook 5 minutes, turning down heat and covering when it comes to a boil. Chill. When cool, add buttermilk, nuts and Cool Whip. Mix ingredients together. Pour into 9 x 13-inch container that's been sprayed with Pam. Refrigerate overnight.
