Clouds At Sunrise(Dessert) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 egg whites
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. sugar
2 c. (about 45) crushed saltines
3/4 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. whipping cream
1 (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Beat egg whites until frothy, add cream of tartar then gradually add sugar.
Beat until stiff.
Fold in crushed crackers, nuts and vanilla.
Spread in a well-buttered 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Do not overbrown.
Cool on rack.
Whip the cream and spread over top. Spoon pie filling over cream.
Chill several hours or overnight before serving.
