Cherry Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. fruit cocktail or cherries
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Sift
    together the flour, baking powder and salt.
    Beat eggs well.
    Add sugar, vanilla, fruit cocktail and nuts.
    Pour into
    an 8\tx
    8-inch
    pan.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 25 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
