Ripe Tomato Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. ripe tomatoes
    4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    1/2 tsp. broken stick cinnamon
    2 c. vinegar
    1/2 teaspoon whole allspice
Preparation
    Scald, peel and quarter tomatoes.
    Place in a preserving kettle.
    Add sugar, vinegar and spices.
    Put spices in a muslin bag.
    Simmer stirring frequently, until thick.
