Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 lb. butter
1 pt. white Karo syrup
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
2 lb. brown sugar
Preparation

Combine in
heavy pot with wooden spoon.
Cook over low heat until 250\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
Take off stove and stir in 2 teaspoons
vanilla.
Pour in greased pan, 9 x 13-inches. Cool and cut into pieces; wrap in waxed paper.
Hard to cut if too cold.
