Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

3 c. self-rising corn meal
2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
4 pickled jalapeno peppers
1 can cream-style corn
1/2 chopped bell pepper
3 eggs
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. oil
1 tsp. baking soda
3 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. ground beef
2 chopped onions
Preparation

Brown ground beef, onions and bell pepper until meat is done; drain fat.
Mix corn meal and salt.
Add flour, soda, milk, eggs and peppers.
Pour half of the corn meal mixture in pan.
Layer with corn, meat mixture and cheese.
Pour remaining corn meal mixture over top and bake at 400\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
