Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. butter or oleo
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. hot water
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 Tbsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream together butter and sugar.
    Add one at a time the 4 eggs.
    Combine soda, dissolved in hot water.
    Add salt to plain flour; add alternately to sugar mixture with buttermilk.
    Stir in lemon extract.
    Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325\u00b0 in a tube pan.
