Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head broccoli (1 1/2 to 2 lb.)
    1 qt. chicken broth
    2 c. milk
    1/3 c. flour
    4 Tbsp. oleo
    1/2 c. light cream or half and half
    bacon bits
    Swiss cheese
Preparation
    Chop broccoli fine.
    Cook in half the broth.
    Salt to taste. Make paste with melted oleo and flour.
    Add milk slowly.
    Cook to thicken.
    Add broccoli mixture with remaining broth.
    Simmer to thicken.
    When serving, add bits of bacon and shredded Swiss cheese.
    Makes 3 quarts.
