Old Fashioned Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    10 eggs
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    5 c. flour (4 plain, 1 self-rising)
    1/2 box cake spice
    1/2 c. cane syrup
    3/4 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. sherry wine
    1 box seeded raisins
    1 box seedless raisins
    1 qt. pecans
    1 lb. green cherries
    1 lb. red cherries
    1 lb. red and green pineapple
Preparation
    Cut up nuts, cherries and pineapple.
    Cover with 1 cup flour (plain).
    Add cake spices to mixture and set aside.
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Add soda to syrup and stir into butter mixture.
    Add flour and wine alternately, small amount at a time, until ingredients are completely mixed.
    Stir in fruit mixture.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 in 2 (9 or 10-inch) cake pans for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
