Apricot Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 pkg. apricot Jell-O
    1 can crushed pineapple (heavy syrup)
    1 medium Cool Whip
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 can mandarin oranges, cut and drained
Preparation
    Bring pineapple and juice to a boil. Add dry Jell-O.
    Mix thoroughly and set aside to cool. Add 2 cups of buttermilk and the oranges.
    Now blend in the Cool Whip.
    Refrigerate until congealed.
