Fluffy Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites (at room temperature)
    1/4 tsp. cream of tatar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. Karo light corn syrup
    1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a small bowl with mixer at high speed, beat together first three ingredients until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar until smooth and glossy. Gradually beat in corn syrup and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
    If desired, beat in food coloring.
    Makes enough frosting for 9-inch layer cake.
