Rhubarb Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. cut rhubarb (I use 6 c.)
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. butter
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. shredded coconut (optional)
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Place rhubarb in a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan; cover with 1 cup sugar.
    Place in oven at 350\u00b0 while getting mixture ready. Combine butter and remaining sugar.
    Sift flour and
    soda; blend until crumbly.
    Stir in coconut and nuts.
    Top rhubarb with crumb mixture.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes longer.
    Yield:
    12 servings.
