Chicken Pot Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cut up (3 to 4 lb.) stewing chicken
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 heaping Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 to 1 c. water
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. potatoes, diced
    1 c. sliced carrots
Preparation
    Cook chicken until done, about 1 1/2 hours.
    Strain broth and set aside.
    Pick chicken off bones and set aside.
