Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
1/2 tsp. each: cinnamon and cloves
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. dates, sliced
1 c. raisins, chopped
2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar; add the egg and vanilla.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Add applesauce and dry ingredients which have been sifted together and stir until the batter is smooth. Fold in the dates, nuts and raisins.
Turn into a greased bread pan (9 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 3-inches).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
