Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 level tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast
1 c. lukewarm water
3 1/2 to 4 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

In large mixing bowl, pour 1 cup boiling water over sugar, shortening and salt.
Let cool.
Soak yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water.
When mixture is cool, add yeast to it.
Sift enough flour into it and mix until it looks like biscuit dough.
Cover with clean tea towel and let rise to top of bowl.
Roll out what you want to bake and put the rest in the refrigerator for later use. Cover with a plate.
Cut with biscuit cutter and place on baking sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
This is easier to mix with a stiff wooden spoon.
