Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. coarsely chopped peeled apples
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 egg
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Combine prepared apples and sugar in large mixing bowl; let stand 10 minutes.
Sift flour; add soda, salt and spices; set aside.
Blend oil and egg into apple/sugar mixture.
Add dry ingredients; stirring until blended.
Fold in raisins and walnuts. Spread evenly in a greased 8-inch square pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
