Snow Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    4 egg yolks
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    dash of salt
    1 (16 oz.) can pears, diced
    1 (16 oz.) can pineapple, diced or crushed
    1 lb. miniature marshmallows
    1 1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped, or Cool Whip
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks, sugar and salt and add to milk.
    Boil this mixture slowly until thickens; set aside to cool.
    (May curdle a little but doesn't hurt.)
    Add to pears, pineapple and marshmallows.
    Add stiffly beaten whipping cream or Cool Whip to other mixture.
    Let set half day before serving.
