Rendang Padang (Spicy Curry Beef) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. turmeric
1-inch ginger root (ground to paste or use the one that is already ground, 1/2 Tbsp.)
3 lemon grass leaves (optional: substitute 1/2 tsp. lime juice)
1 lb. top round/lean beef, sliced thinly (as desired)
1 Tbsp. salt or as needed
1 1/2 c. coconut milk
2 Indian bay leaves
crushed red peppers (as needed)
Preparation

Heat oil in pan and add garlic, turmeric, ginger and lemon grass; saut lightly. Then add meat and crushed red peppers.
