Oatmeal Lunchbox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white raisins
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    3 beaten eggs
    1/4 c. milk
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. quick cook oatmeal
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over raisins.
    Let stand 5 minutes; drain. Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add peanut butter and eggs.
    Add 1/4 cup milk and flour sifted with cinnamon, soda and salt.
    Add vanilla and oatmeal.
    Stir in raisins.
    Drop on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 18 minutes.
