Minted Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. nuts (pecans or other)
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    3 drops peppermint extract
    6 large marshmallows
    green food color (to tint)
Preparation
    Cook sugar, water, salt and syrup slowly and add color. Remove just before it will form a soft ball in cup of cold water. Add marshmallows and stir until all are melted.
    Add peppermint and nuts and stir in circular motion until it is hardening, then break into pieces.
