Squash Halves Stuffed With Ground Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium summer squash (about 1 1/2 lb.) (unpeeled and cut in half lengthwise)
    salt and pepper
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/4 c. finely chopped celery
    1/4 c. finely chopped green onion
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. tomato sauce or catsup
    1 slice bread, crumbled
    grated Parmesan cheese or Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Parboil squash halves for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Drain and remove seed section.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Brown ground beef, celery and onion in butter.
    Add tomato sauce and bread crumbs. Mix well.
    Fill squash with meat mixture.
    Sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
