Ingredients

2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. milk
Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients.
Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
Add egg and enough milk to make a soft dough.
Stir gently with a fork until mixture holds together. Press into a small ball.
Divide dough in half.
Cover and set aside.
Prepare filling.
