German Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

3/4 c. margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
2/3 c. cherry preserves
2/3 c. apricot preserves
2/3 c. pineapple preserves
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream margarine, sugar and eggs.
Sift together flour (less 1/4 cup), allspice, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Add to first mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
Fold in cherry, apricot and pineapple preserves.
Dredge pecans in 1/4 cup flour and fold into mixture.
Add vanilla.
Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0 in angel food cake pan.
