Bean-Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salad oil
    1 medium can red kidney beans, drained
    1 medium can chickpeas, drained
    1 medium can green beans, drained
    1 medium can yellow wax beans, drained
    1 medium can black beans, drained
    1 pkg. frozen lima beans, cooked and drained
    onion slices
Preparation
    Combine vinegar, sugar, pepper and salad oil.
    Boil for 3 minutes.
    Add dressing to peas and beans; bring to a boil.
    Add a few slices of onion.
    Let stand in refrigerator for 2 hours. Drain before serving.
    Yields 2 quarts.
