Quiche - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked pie shell
    1 egg, beaten
    8 slices bacon, cooked
    6 eggs, beaten
    4 oz. shredded Swiss cheese
    1 1/4 c. half and half (can use canned mix)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Brush pie shell with beaten egg.
    Prick and bake 5 minutes at 425\u00b0 for glass pan or 450\u00b0 for metal.
    Cool on wire rack.
    Reduce oven temperature to 350\u00b0.
    Crumble bacon and sprinkle with cheese in pie shell.
    Beat remaining ingredients until well blended. Pour in pie shell.
    Bake in preheated oven 35 to 40 minutes.
    Let stand 10 minutes after baking.
    This is important to allow quiche to set.
