Split Pea With Ham Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. (2 1/4 c.) green split peas
    1 meaty ham bone (or 2 tsp. ham base)
    1 c. diced onion
    1 c. diced celery
    1 c. diced carrots
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. marjoram
    1 c. diced ham (if no bone)
Preparation
    Rinse peas.
    Combine next 6 ingredients.
    Bring to boil, then simmer 1 1/2 hours.
    Remove bone; cut off ham meat and dice.
    (If no bone, add 1 cup diced ham to soup.)
