Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak
    1/3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. fat
    1/4 c. chopped green peppers
    1 qt. canned tomatoes
    1 small can tomato paste
Preparation
    Wipe meat with cold, damp cloth.
    Mix flour, salt and pepper together.
    Pound into steak.
    Cut meat into 2-inch squares.
    Brown meat and onion in fat in heavy pan.
    Add green peppers, tomatoes and tomato paste.
    Cover and simmer until meat is tender, 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
    Add more liquid if needed during cooking.
