Brats And Taters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 bratwurst
    4 medium potatoes, peeled
    pepper to taste
    1/2 c. flour (approximately)
    2 c. milk
Preparation
    Brown brats in skillet on all sides.
    Cover with water.
    Cut potatoes into spears and place on top of brats.
    Sprinkle pepper on potatoes.
    Cover skillet and cook slowly until potatoes are done, approximately 20 minutes.
    Remove brats and potatoes from liquid.
    Slowly add flour to liquid, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
    Add milk, brats and potatoes in that order and cook slowly until thickened.
