Easy Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. flour
    2 (16 oz. each) cans pitted red tart cherries, drained
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    pastry for 9-inch two crust pie
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Prepare pastry.
    Mix sugar and flour. Stir in cherries. Turn into pastry lined pie plate.
    Sprinkle with almond extract and dot with margarine.
    Cover with top crust that has slits cut in it. Seal and flute.
    Cover edge with 2 to 3-inch strips of foil to prevent excessive browning. Remove foil during the last 15 minutes of baking. Bake until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through the slits in crust, 35 to 45 minutes.
