Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. raisins
1 c. pecans
1 c. applesauce
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 Tbsp. hot water

Preparation

Mix shortening and sugar.
Add egg, raisins, applesauce, spices and flour.
Mix soda in 2 tablespoons hot water; pour into flour mixture; add nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
