Texas Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. (1 stick) margarine
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. water
1/4 c. dark cocoa (unsweetened)
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine flour and sugar in large mixing bowl.
Combine butter, shortening, water and cocoa; stir and heat to boiling.
Pour over flour and sugar.
Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla. Mix well on high with mixer.
Pour into well buttered jelly roll pan (17 1/2 x 11-inch).
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Prepare frosting while brownies bake.
