German Kuchen - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Blend together eggs, sugar and Crisco.
    Add flour, vanilla and salt.
    Grease 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Spread batter in pan, saving 1 cup of batter for top.
    Cover with pie filling.
    Take saved batter and drop by teaspoons over top of filling; go through with knife. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes or less.
