Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1 pod hot pepper (if desired)
    1 onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. milk
    1 can creamed or Niblets corn
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/3 c. bacon drippings
    1/2 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Combine ground beef, oil, peppers, onion, salt and pepper; cook until brown and set aside.
    Mix remaining ingredients and pour 1/2 of mixture into greased pan.
    Layer meat mixture and 1/2 cup grated cheese.
    Add remaining corn bread mixture.
    Bake for 40 to 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool and cut into squares.
