Marinara Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. water
    1 beef bouillon cube
    1/4 tsp. basil
    1/4 c. cooking sherry
    1 clove garlic
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 c. Romano cheese (I use Parmesan)
    16 oz. tomato paste
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. oil
Preparation
    Heat oil in 2-quart pan.
    Saute onion and garlic for 1 minute. Add tomato paste, water, sherry, bouillon cube, cheese and seasonings.
    Blend and cook over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Remove bay leaf.
