Layered Green Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas, cooked and drained
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1 chopped bell pepper
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 medium onion
    1 lb. bacon
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Wash lettuce and drain on a towel.
    Layer lettuce, celery, bell pepper, onion and peas in a 9 x 12-inch Pyrex dish.
    Pour mayonnaise or salad dressing over top of salad.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    When ready to serve, cook bacon in microwave and crumble over top of salad.
    Also, spread shredded cheese on top.
