Best Salmon Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small can salmon
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2/3 c. dry bread crumbs
    2 beaten eggs
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    3 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Drain salmon, reserving 1/3 cup liquid.
    Remove bones and skin from salmon. Flake meat.
    Cook onion in butter until tender.
    Add reserved liquid, 1/3 cup crumbs, eggs, mustard and salmon.
    Mix well. Shape into patties.
    Roll in remaining crumbs. Fry in
    a small amount of oil until nicely browned.
