Ingredients

1 box white cake mix
2 pkg. frozen coconut
8 oz. sour cream
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. Cool Whip
Preparation

Prepare cake mix as directed on box.
Cool.
Slice each layer and make 4 layers.
Mix sugar, sour cream and flavoring.
Add 1 1/2 packages coconut.
Mix and put between layers only.
Mix the remaining coconut and Cool Whip.
Frost top and sides of cake. Save some coconut to sprinkle on top.
Let stand several hours or overnight.
Keep in refrigerator.
