Sand Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
    3 c. flour
    1 c. finely chopped pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream butter thoroughly.
    Gradually add powdered sugar; blend thoroughly, then add pecans and vanilla.
    Sift flour and salt together and work into sugar mixture.
    Pinch off by teaspoonfuls. Roll in hands until pencil thin.
    Form into crescent shapes and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes. When cool, sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.
    Makes 4 dozen.
