Hoppin' John - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. rice, cooked
    1 lb. bacon
    3 cans black-eyed peas
    1 bunch green onions, sliced
Preparation
    Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces.
    Fry and drain well, reserving 6 tablespoons of bacon grease.
    Rinse and drain black-eyed peas. Mix all ingredients in skillet with reserved bacon drippings. Heat thoroughly and serve with cornbread, if desired.
