Chocolate Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 1/3 Tbsp. cocoa
    2 1/2 c. cold milk
    1 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks, slightly beaten or 2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald milk and cocoa; stir well.
    Combine sugar, flour and salt.
    Add to eggs.
    Pour small amount of chocolate mixture over egg mixture, stirring vigorously.
    Return to double boiler; cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Add butter and vanilla. Cool.
    Put into baked pie shell and cover with meringue or whipped cream.
    Makes 1 (9-inch) pie.
