Mom'S Egg Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 tsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 (9-inch) pie crust
    nutmeg to taste
Preparation
    Heat milk and butter to boiling point in a saucepan. Beat whole eggs lightly in a bowl.
    Add sugar and vanilla to egg mixture. Stir in milk. Bake at 475\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and cook until pie is firm. If pie browns too fast, cover the entire pie with foil until pie is done.
