Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick oleo
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs, separated
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream oleo, Crisco, sugar, add egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift flour and soda; add to creamed mixture with buttermilk and vanilla.
Add coconut and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Add nuts.
Pour into 3 (9-inch) pans. Bake 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Frost.
