Vidalia Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. Vidalia onions, sliced in rings
    3 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 c. sour cream
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    dash of Tabasco sauce
    1/2 to 1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
    deep dish pie shell, unbaked
    Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In a large frying pan, saute onions in margarine.
    Combine the next 6 ingredients.
    Add sauteed onions.
    Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Reduce heat; bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Remove from oven.
    Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
    Yields 6 to 8 servings.
