Ingredients

2 c. skim milk
2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Scald 1 1/2 cups of the milk in medium saucepan.
Combine the cocoa, sugar, cornstarch and salt in a small bowl.
Blend remaining 1/2 cup cold milk into cocoa mixture.
Mix well.
Stir into scalded milk.
Cook over very low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick.
Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla.
Cool.
Spoon into 4 individual dessert dishes and refrigerate.
Makes 4 servings.
